The one I dreamed of and adore

Should be my greatest gift to show
But sadly that can never be

The moments we shared, the passion, the care
The sadness, the joy, devotion my dear
Distraction, obstruction never far away
The trials and tribulations they came to stay
Deep waters, rough seas, quick sand and precipice
We held our hands we navigated in peace
Our love for each other the guidance of our creator
Our strength our courage was our shield our protector
